Woven were delighted to once again join with partners from across the sector, as a proud lead partner in supporting the Play and Unite Programme, in which more than 150 young people from over 14 football clubs across greater Belfast came together for the fifth annual summer camp, delivered by Sport Changes Life.
The week-long camp at Clarendon Sports Complex in North Belfast, culminating in a celebration event at the Clearer Twist National Stadium at Windsor Park, is an excellent model of good relations work during the summer and shows how Housing for All can have a positive community impact.
Alongside our partners - Apex, Ark, Choice, Radius, Clanmil and NB Housing - we supported a week of football, workshops and fun. Additional partners - TAMHI, Womens Aid, Golf Ireland, PSNI, the IFA, Belfast Olympic Handball and guest coaches - all helped to deliver a packed programme promoting inclusion, confidence and respect among 8–10‑year olds. Participating clubs included Celtic Boys, Knockbreda, Albert Foundry, St Malachys, Doyle, Bloomfield, Albion Star, Carryduff Colts, Woodvale, Ridgeway Rovers, Kelvin Youth, Linfield, Willowbank and Berlin Swifts.
